Concealers Galore!

Here is a review of a few of the concealers I own.
Names correspond in order from Left to Right.

Givenchy Mr. Bright in #5 my HG product. I love love love this. It's so creamy and moisturizing. Easy to dispense. Doesn't need much blending. Brush is soft. No bad smell. Only downside is that there aren't many shades for dark skintones.
Sephora light touch highlighter in #5 Golden Beige This one has good coverage, the product is creamy and moisturizing. I don't like the brush, it's a bit stiff and hurts my eye. It's also a little hard to dispense Not a lot of shades to select from.:(
Korres wild rose concealer in wrc3 Soft brush, very good coverage. Slight smell. Not a lot of shades offered.
Make Up For Ever full cover camouflage cream in #10 Waterproof, great color selection. Creamy full coverage. Awesome product.
Stila Perfecting concealer in C I have this product in 4 different shades. I love this. It's creamy, high coverage and illuminating. Great shade slection. Make sure you use a little, it goes a long way and can be a bit greasy if you apply too much.
MAC studio finish concealer in NC35 I own this product in 3 different shades. Awesome coverage. Lots of shades to choose from. Still creamy. Need to blend though.

Laura Mercier secret comouflage in SC-3 Lots of coverage. Needs good blending because it tends to get cakey. Not moisturizing.
Laura Mercier undercover pot in #2 Great coverage. No creasing. Moisturizing. Not a lot of color choices.

MAC Select Moisture Cover in NC 30 Another awesome product from MAC I own a few of these. What can I say creamy, blendable. Great color selection.
Laura Mercier eye base in Buff. ( this one they don't sell anymore) Creamy. Not a lot of color choices. This one is not long lasting at all.
Derma Color Camouflage in D65 Full coverage. Lots of color choices.Tends to get cakey and crease. Needs heavy blending.

Mascaras and eyeliners

Oooo this one is a mixed entry.
I want to review three mascaras and three eyeliners :)
Here are pictures of my naked eyelashes :) PS forgive my unruly eyebrows they need to be threaded badly.

My eyelashes aren't as long as I would like them to be, I use Talika Eyelash Lipocils. I don't believe it's aided in lengthening, but it has made them stronger and they tend to fall out less than before I used this product.

Here is just for fun, the left picture has Givenchy Mr. Light concealer in #5. The right picture has Korres Concealer in wrc3. I didn't put on eyecream in that picture. Darn my eyes need an eyecreme badly. :(

Thevi Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation with SPF15

I've been meaning to try these foundations for a while. A lot of my husbands friends ask me to do their makeup from time to time for events. Color matching is usually a pain with classic brands like Dior and Lancome. For this I'll usually turn to MUFE or MAC, life savers!

Thevi's foundation is much like Diorskin Icone Photo Perfect Cream to Powder foundation.
I ordered one in Almond and Honey Bronze. Honey thier lightest shade was too dark for me, it has an orangey undertone. Honey Bronze has a reddish orange undertone. You'll need to really blend it out. The results are flawlessly smooth and long lasting ( I washed a few dishes after making momos and it was still on my hand) ! They both have microshimmer, I found the Honey Bronze to have a lot of reddish microshimmer which I wasn't too crazy about. I expected more of an olive/yellow undertone for these foundations. I love that the foundation is infused with Vitamins A, C, and E. It's Oil free and Hypoallergenic. Anyskin type can wear this foundation, it provides medium to full coverage yet is provides a dewy soft finish.
Here is my hand with Almond. This foundation is very photogenic. HD almost. Looks seriously good.
Borrowed my husband's arm for this swatch of Honey Bronze, You can see on the edge that it's darker than his arm.

Feeling Estatic.

Whoa. Today is such a good day. It's been the first time since September 22nd of last year (My wedding day) that I feel like a good wife. I married a chef..a traditional South Asian chef who went to the French Culinary Institute and caters to famous movie stars and rich socialites. You can imagine how hard it has been to feed this husband. lol. I married him not knowing how to cook rice! lol seriously, my mom isn't much into cooking and neither was I. So I've been my husband's trainee for over a year now. I can cook traditional South Asian meals like mataar paneer, aloo banda gobi, goat curry etc. I can even make paneer parantha. awesome I know. My fav is undaa parantha. I'm actually a vegetarian but I do cheat and eat eggs. So you can imagine the challenge of cooking goat curry. He taught me how to make homemade paneer and yogurt. Which I love. But today, today was different. I made breakfast. Pancakes. Usually we both hate pancakes. Especially because we usually make them thick. Today I saw an old apple, prasad from the temple we went to two weeks ago, and I decided to make apple compote with brown sugar and use that for the pancakes topper. I did the pancakes super thin put cinnamon butter on top and then the apple compote. Folded it in half like a crepe and voila. Nothing fancy really. He was really proud that I am starting to think on my own and making things through experimentation. He called me his own personal chef. Ooo I feel so loved.

Scrubs Part Deux

Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis Scrub in action. You can see the crystals. Reminds me of microderm in a creamy base. Awesome scrub.

Fresh Sugar Facial Polish
Wonderful scent (fruit loops?) and texture (gritty but not harsh, you can see the petals too). If you moisten your skin before you apply it makes the sugar crystals stop on their own so you can't over exfoliate. The oils leave your skin so soft.

Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream. Super moisturizing.

Fresh Appleseed Brightening Exfoliant
Very gritty you can see the appleseeds.

Scrub away the ugly!

I have about 2 months of back dated reviews to post. Eek. So let's start with a talk about scrubs.
Ever feel dull, flaky? Feel like you can't go bare faced because your skin looks muddy or uneven. Or put on that foundation to find that it doesn't quite blend well or looks cakey? Well you might be suffering from dead skin build up. Time to discover those youthful new layers of skin by scrubs.

Now scrubs aren't for everyone. If you have active acne, pustules, papules, open sores. Don't do it! lol. It can spread bacteria or cause more problems. If you have mature or sensitive skin, rosacea, broken capillaries etc, it can cause more irritation.

Otherwise Normal, Combination, and oily skin types can use it.

All about scrubs:
Scrubs are generally manual exfoliatents as opposed to the chemical ones such as AHA/BHA/PHA and enzymes. Which are generally referred to as peels. They can be gritty with just about anything added to them, ground oat/corn/almond meal, ground shells (super bad), polyurethane/jojoba micro beads, salt, sugar etc. Or they can be gommages I love these. When you first put them on they usually use enzymes to soften the skin, then when they try you just manually rub it off. Talk about double duty and they are usually quite gentle too.

Help clear out dead skin cells and black heads. Brighten complextion. Also help your skin care products penetrate better therefore equals less product waste and your products work better and faster. Affordable and fast!
My Reviews:

3. Instantly brightens.
4. Affordable and really works.
1. Updated: after using for 4 days. I broke out. I got two huge zits on my cheeks. WAAAA. Must be all that dimethicone. It was finely milled so I was positive. Especially because of the way it really brightened and softened the skin. I don't think I'll recommend this for oily/combination skin. I trust this will work well for drier skin types.
2. Frequently sold out :(
My Fav hands down. So good, so affordable. I wonder how long before they discontinue or reformulate. Something so good can't last this long lol.

1. Harsh.
2. Not moisturizing.
Body Scrubs:
Fresh brown sugar body polish
1. Moisturizing. Whoa don't need moisturizer for about two days. So silky smooth and radiant.
2. Smell. Bathroom smells good you smell good. It's a sweet citrus scent that's sure to please.
3. Natural. 7 good for you escential oils.
1. Price. Eww 65$ WTF? This is the one of the most overpriced scrub yet.
2. Slippery. Feels like ice skating in your tub.
I heart this product badly. lol. It sends me into a sensual frenzy. Ok...that's enough drama. But seriously this is good.
Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash
